  • Working with TxDOT to up-grade FM 1826 into three-lanes with shoulders.
  • Working on up-grading the low water crossings on CR 187 *McGregor Lane), and CR 225 (Lime Kiln).
  • Working with Travis County to improve the low water crossing on Barton Creek on CR 101.
  • Working with Hays County, City of Dripping Springs, Dripping Springs ISD, Dripping Springs Community Library, and North Hays County Fire and EMS on up-grading Sport Plex Drive to three-lanes, making it safer for school buses and emergency service vehicles.
  • Continue to make parks and open space management a priority in all areas of Hays County.
  • Working on new legislation that will enable the County to: implement planning powers, provide storm water protection, require larger lot sizes in new subdivisions, and require developers to pay impact fees to upgrade existing roads around new development.
